A B O U T

Kay Lynne Sattler was born in Colorado. Unwilling to endure the long, cold winters of the small mountain town of Steamboat Springs, she bought a one-way ticket to the Hawaiian Islands. On the island of Maui, she continued her life with clay, drawing inspiration from the indigenous peoples of the American Southwest before creating original works inspired by the myths and legends of Hawaiʻi. After three decades on the islands, she bought another one-way ticket—this time to the Central Highlands of Mexico.

The people, culture, and landscapes of Mexico now inspire her art and writing.
