THE FULL STORY
Kay Lynne Sattler was born in Colorado. Unwilling to endure the long, cold winters of the small mountain town of Steamboat Springs, she bought a one-way ticket to the Hawai'ian Islands. On the island of Maui, Sattler continued her life with clay, from having been inspired by the indigenous peoples of the southwest to creating original works of art inspired by the myths and legends of Hawai'i. After three decades on the islands, she bought another one-way ticket to the Central Highlands of Mexico. This country's people, culture, and landscapes are now her inspiration.
