... Portals speak to us in whatever parts of ourselves we are consciously or unconsciously moving towards.
A door we open for the first time, or one we return to day after day... or a particular door that has been closed for a long time. But there the opening stands, presenting itself to us, and we willing or unwillingly choose the urge to enter.
Looking through the portal and agreeing to step forward will always feel different, but what often remains unchanged is the passion for creating that is still waiting there.
And, after one month or thirty years of reaching out towards that passion, each time the “greeting” will be different...because the person that stands here today and the day before is also different. But, what remains familiar is knowing that our "faithful companion" of creating with passion and moving forward remains the same.
So, in this moment, I will greet the body of clay and it will resemble the feeling of our very first introduction. It will resemble the feeling of hearing my favorite aria for the first time, and I will turn up the volume.

A door of creativity is cracked open and the new born light illuminates and is reborn.
Looking through the portal and agreeing to step forward will always feel different, but what often remains unchanged is the passion for creating that is still waiting there.

Entering a new portal
